Each year, Quirk Auto Group proudly partners with the American Red Cross to support a mission that quite literally saves lives. The Red Cross plays a vital role in Maine — not only by collecting and distributing life-saving blood to hospitals across the state, but also by responding to disasters, training community members in CPR and first aid, and helping military families connect with loved ones in times of crisis.
This year’s Red Cross Blood Drives took place at Quirk Chevrolet in Bangor and Quirk Ford in Augusta, where Mainers came together for a common cause: to give the gift of life. From loyal donors who never miss a year to first-timers eager to make a difference, the turnout reflected the strong community spirit that defines our state.
Red Cross blood drives like these are crucial to maintaining a stable blood supply — especially during the fall and winter months when donations often decline. Each pint collected can save up to three lives, ensuring that patients in Maine hospitals receive the care they need for surgeries, trauma recovery, cancer treatment, and other critical medical procedures.
