Quirk Auto Group is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to supporting education, workforce development, and public safety here in Maine. On September 18th, representatives from Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) joined us at Quirk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat on Hogan Road in Bangor, where Quirk Auto Group presented this year’s scholarship donation supporting students in the Automotive Technology and Criminal Justice / Police Training programs.
These scholarships play a vital role in helping EMCC students reach their academic and career goals. The Automotive Technology program provides hands-on, industry-focused training that prepares students for careers as professional technicians — a field that continues to grow rapidly across Maine. From diagnostics and electrical systems to hybrid technologies and advanced drivetrains, EMCC equips future technicians with the skills local dealerships and service centers rely on.
Similarly, EMCC’s Criminal Justice and Police Training programs train the next generation of law enforcement professionals who will help keep our communities safe. Students receive education in criminal law, investigations, ethics, and public safety practices, along with real-world training that supports a strong, well-prepared public safety workforce for Maine cities and towns.
The connection between these programs and Quirk Auto Group runs deep. As a major employer in automotive service and a strong supporter of public safety initiatives, we believe in investing in the people who will shape the future of our workforce and our communities. Supporting these scholarships is one way we help ensure that Maine students have access to high-quality training, meaningful career pathways, and opportunities to succeed close to home.
We’re grateful for our many years of partnership with Eastern Maine Community College and look forward to continuing our support for students pursuing careers in automotive technology, law enforcement, and related fields. Their success strengthens the safety, expertise, and economic vitality of communities across Maine — something we are proud to stand behind.
