Quirk Auto Group Sponsors the 2024 Don White Maine Forest Products Council Classic Golf Scramble

This year the annual golf tournament hosted by the Maine Forest Product Council, changed its event name to honor Don White- a longtime avid golfer and council contributor. The golf scramble was held on Thursday, July 11th, at the Bangor Municipal Golf Course. This annual event, which has been a cornerstone of the Maine Forest Products Council’s community activities for the past 20 years, took on special significance this year with its new dedication to Don White.

A Tradition of Community and Networking

From its inception, the MFPC Classic Golf Scramble has served as a vital membership activity aimed at fostering networking opportunities and building goodwill within the community. The Maine Forest Products Council, established in 1961 with headquarters in Augusta, ME, has consistently worked towards addressing and advocating for the diverse needs of the forest industry, including truckers, loggers, and manufacturers.

Supporting the Council’s Mission

The proceeds from this year’s event will go towards the council’s budget, directly supporting their advocacy and business development efforts for the individuals and organizations within the forest industry. This continued support is crucial for the sustainability and growth of Maine’s forest economy, ensuring that the needs of those who work in and rely on this industry are met.

Quirk Auto Group’s Participation

As part of our commitment to the community, Quirk Auto Group sponsored a hole at the event and sent a team of four enthusiastic players to participate in the scramble. We are proud to contribute to an event that aligns with our values of community support and involvement. The 2024 Don White MFPC Classic Golf Scramble was more than just a day of golf; it was a celebration of community, legacy, and the collaborative spirit that drives the forest industry in Maine. We at Quirk Auto Group are honored to have been a part of such a meaningful event and look forward to continuing our support in the future.

Looking Ahead

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Maine Forest Products Council for organizing this fantastic event and to our participants for representing us in the community.
