Quirk Auto Group Sponsors 6th Annual Schoodic Lake Charity Bass Tournament
Quirk Auto Group is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 6th annual Schoodic Lake Charity Bass Tournament, a significant event that brought together the community for a cause. This year, the charity event extended over two exciting days, featuring a cornhole tournament on July 13th at Bissel Brothers Brewing Company in Milo, ME, and the main bass tournament on Sunday, July 14th at Schoodic Lake. The proceeds from these events went towards the Maine Veterans Project and the Penquis Valley Middle School Outing Club, two organizations that play vital roles in supporting our community!
Cornhole Toss with the Community
The festivities kicked off with the cornhole tournament at the popular Bissel Brothers Brewing Company. The event had a good turnout, drawing a lively crowd from Milo and surrounding areas. The cornhole toss started at 11 AM, and as the competition heated up, Bissel Brothers opened its doors at noon, so the event was able to support this business that the community loves. It was a successful day that drew in people of all ages, all helping to support the mission of the charity bass tournament.

On Sunday, the event continued at Schoodic Lake with the highly anticipated bass tournament. The Schoodic Lake Charity Bass Tournament has always been a highlight of the summer, and this year was no exception. Participants and spectators alike enjoyed a day of fishing, camaraderie, and the stunning natural beauty of Schoodic Lake.
Beneficiaries: Maine Veterans Project and Penquis Valley Middle School Outing Club
The heart of these events lies in their purpose: supporting the Maine Veterans Project and the Penquis Valley Middle School Outing Club. The Maine Veterans Project is dedicated to assisting veterans who struggle with heating their homes, food insecurity, homelessness, and mental health issues across Maine. Their mission is crucial, and the funds raised will help them continue their vital work.
The Penquis Valley Middle School Outing Club, local to Milo, aims to connect kids with the great outdoors through activities like camping trips, snowshoeing, and more. The club’s goal is to provide opportunities for children to explore and appreciate nature, fostering a love for the outdoors that can last a lifetime.
A Community United
At Quirk Auto Group, giving back to the communities in Maine who are in need is a cornerstone of our organization. Contributing to the growth and well-being of Maine communities is one of our most important aspirations, and we are honored to support events that align with this mission. It’s through efforts like these that we can make a real difference in the lives of those in need and inspire the next generation to cherish and protect our natural environment. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported these wonderful causes!
