To our deployed service members

Thank you for
your service

Being stationed far from home means giving up a lot of small comforts — including the familiar food you miss most.

This package is a small thank-you, sent to bring a literal taste of home to your base. It came together from a potato farm in Aroostook County, a chip company in New Hampshire, and the Quirk employee donation fund. Every bit of it was donated.

Your families made it happen. We worked with them to collect messages of support, and their strength is the real reason any of this exists. What you're holding started with them.

This is the first shipment, not the last. We're going to keep this going as long as people back home keep stepping up — and so far, they keep stepping up.

With respect and gratitude —

Families Priceless

Your families

We sat down with loved ones back home to record messages for you. They picked the foods. They told us what you'd actually want. Their dedication is the inspiration behind the whole effort.

Potatoes Caribou, ME

The potatoes

Grown in Maine soil by Guerrette Farms in Caribou — about 1,200 acres of Russet Burbank and Caribou Russet in the heart of Aroostook County, the biggest concentration of potato ground in the state.

Chips 2.5 pallets

The chips

Two and a half pallets of custom kettle chips, donated and hand-crafted by Wrap City Potato Chip Company in New Hampshire. Here's the part we like: Wrap City already buys its russets out of Aroostook County. The chips and the potatoes in this box come from the same dirt.

04
Comfort $2,500

The comfort foods

$2,500 from the Quirk employee donation fund. Every year a portion of the employees' Christmas bonus goes into that fund, and it gets paid back out across the year to causes the people here want to support. This was one of them. It bought the snacks and favorites your families told us about.

We brought a camera to families across Maine and New Hampshire and asked them to say what they'd say if you were standing right there. We'll keep adding more as we shoot them.
